At Last Police Arrests Gunmen Who Raped School Girls

Three days after a gang of deadly armed robbers raped many schools girls travelling from Enugu to Lagos, men of the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, have arrested four men said to be the rapists.

The girls, in their teens, included JSS1 and 2 as well as SSS1 and 2 classes of a Catholic School, were travelling for the Easter celebrations.

The ugly development also led to protests by parents and guardians of the girls who lamented what happened to their children.

In a statement by the state Police PRO, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, the suspected rapists names were given as Oni Olopari, Innocent Omule, Gbenga Adebayo and Samuel Luca.

It was disclosed that the driver of the bus, who was also arrested, was able to identify Samuel Luca as one of the robbers who attacked the bus during their investigations on Monday.
